Saturday night in Vancouver, Washington, an innocent 8-year-old boy called 911 because he was fearful about his mother’s driving, and had no where else to turn.
“I don’t know where we are and mom’s not acting normal,” the boy told a 911 dispatcher.
His mother, Paulette Lynn Spears, who is 33 years old reportedly took the cell phone from the child and told the 911 dispatcher that nothing was wrong and hung up the phone. The child obviously disagreed with her assessment of the situation and called 911 back. In the process, Spears managed to bite her son’s hand.
On the second call, the boy said, “She’s been drinking at a restaurant… I don’t think she knows what’s going on.”
The 8-year-old child aided the deputies in finding their location, and deputies used this information along with call-tracking technology to find Spears’ car at a fire station parking lot.
Drunken driving, reckless endangerment, and assault of a child are the list of charges that the Vancouver based Paulette Lynn Spears faces. She is being held on $10,000 bail.
Next to do on her to-do list most certainly is to call an experienced DUI Attorney.
